To ensure the D6K Dozers are ready for operation at all times, they must be inspected on a regular basis so
defects may be found and corrected before they result in injury, damage, or equipment failure.
Table 1 in WP 0037 contains systematic instructions on inspections, lubrications, services, tests, and corrections to
be performed by Field Maintenance to keep your equipment in good operating condition and ready for its primary
mission.
Table 2 in WP 0037 lists mandatory replacement parts, by interval, for the D6K Dozers.
For information on Corrosion Prevention and Control (CPC), refer to WP 0001.
EXPLANATION OF TABLE ENTRIES

Item Number (Item No.) Column.
Numbers in this column are for reference. When completing DA Form 2404 or DA Form 5988-E (Equipment
Inspection and Maintenance Worksheet), include the item number for the check/service indicating a fault. Item
numbers also appear in the order that you must perform checks and services for the interval listed.

If both an hours and calendar interval are provided, perform check or service at whichever
interval comes first.
Interval Column.
This column tells you when you must perform the procedure in the Procedure column.
50 Hours or Weekly. Must be performed once every week, or after every 50 hours of machine service.
250 Hours or Monthly. Procedures must be performed the first time the engine or machine reaches 250 hours of
operation.
Monthly or Every 250 Service Hours. Procedures must be performed monthly, or after every 250 hours of opera-
tion.
Initial 500 Hours. Procedures must be performed the first time the engine or machine reaches 500 hours of oper-
ation.
500 Hours or Quarterly. Procedures must be performed quarterly, or after every 500 hours of machine operation.
500 Hours or Annually. Procedures must be performed annually, or after every 500 hours of machine operation.
1,000 Hours or Semi-Annually. Procedures must be performed semi-annually, or after every 1,000 hours of
machine operation.
2,000 Hours or Annually. Procedures must be performed annually, or after every 2,000 hours of machine opera-
tion.
3,000 Hours or every 2 years. Procedures must be performed every other year, or after every 3,000 hours of
machine operation.
3 years after date of installation. Procedures must be performed every 3 years from the date the item was
placed into service.
5 years after date of manufacture. Procedures must be performed every 5 years from the date the machine was
manufactured.
