Allow engine to cool off befoe performing maintenance on fuel system. Hot metal parts

can cause severe burns. Wear eye, hand, and skin protection when working with heated
parts.
Failure to follow these warnings may result in injury or death to personnel.
N OT E
Cap all hose ends and plug all fittings and ports in fuel tank.
Tag all hoses and fittings to aid installation.
Note orientation of drain valve to aid installation.
16. Remove clamp (Figure 8, Item 7) from drain hose (Figure 8, Item 8).
17. Remove drain hose (Figure 8, Item 8) from connector (Figure 8, Item 6).
18. Remove connector (Figure 8, Item 6) from drain valve (Figure 8, Item 4).
19. Remove O-ring (Figure 8, Item 5) from connector (Figure 8, Item 6). Discard O-ring.
20. Loosen nut (Figure 8, Item 3) and remove drain valve (Figure 8, Item 4) from fuel tank (Figure 8, Item 1).
21. Remove O-ring (Figure 8, Item 2) from drain valve (Figure 8, Item 4). Discard O-ring.
