Diesel fuel is combustible and an irritant. Skinand eye protection is required. Ensure work
area is well ventilated.
Keep away from open flame and other ignition sources.
Fuel leaked or spilled onto ho surfaces or electrical components can cause a fire.

Allow engine to cool off before performing maintenance on fuel system. Hot metal parts
can cause severe burns. Wear eye, hand, and skin protection when working with heated
parts.
Failure to follow these warnings may result in injury or death to personnel.
N OT E
Cap all hose ends and plug all fittings and ports in fuel tank.
Tag all hoses and fittings to aid installation.
22. Lift boot (Figure 9, Item 3), squeeze tab (Figure 9, Item 4), and disconnect fuel hose (Figure 9, Item 5) from
connector (Figure 9, Item 8).
23. Remove grommet (Figure 9, Item 6) from cover (Figure 9, Item 7) and fuel hose (Figure 9, Item 5).
24. Remove connector (Figure 9, Item 8) from fuel tank (Figure 9, Item 1).
25. Remove O-ring (Figure 9, Item 2) from connector (Figure 9, Item 8). Discard O-ring.
