CLEANING AND INSPECTION

1. Clean all parts IAW Mechanical General Maintenance Instructions (WP 0295).
2. Inspect pulley (Figure 7, Item 1) for the following:
a. Pulley grooves (Figure 7, Item 4) for burrs or nicks. Remove burrs or nicks with emery cloth.
b. Pulley grooves (Figure 7, Item 4) for deformed groove walls.
c.
Inspect pulley (Figure 7, Item 1) for cracks, breaks, wear, or damage around bolt holes (Figure 7, Item 3).
d. Replace pulley if conditions in b or c above are found.
3. Inspect shaft (Figure 7, Item 2) for wear, pitting, grooving, or damage to threads. Replace shaft if found.
4. Inspect bearings, cups, and spacers from hub IAW Mechanical General Maintenance Instructions (WP 0295).
