IMPLEMENT HYDRAULIC SYSTEM CONTINUED
3. Blade Float
The blade float circuit will have the highest signal oil pressure in the hydraulic system when it is the only hydraulic
circuit in operation. When the operator moves the joystick to the LOWER position past the soft detent, pilot oil
enters the control valve through the port (Figure 9, Item 1) and it flows into the passage (Figure 9, Item 2). The
spool (Figure 9, Item 6) moves to the right when the pilot oil overcomes the force of the spring (Figure 9, Item 7).
Oil passages (Figure 9, Items 3, 4, and 8) are now open. Both ends of the lift cylinders (Figure 9, Item 5) are now
open to the hydraulic tank. The float operation can now occur. External forces control the movement of the blade
during the float operation.
