3188-04 Auxiliary Valve #1
Test Step 1. Test for Shorted Auxil-
iary Valve #1 Port A Solenoid.
Below Normal - Continued
machine control D6K ECM and
verify 3188-04 is active.
2. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-2410-240-10).
3. For D6K Dozer with Ripper,
remove rear plates (WP 0196)
from machine to access valve
bank. For D6K Dozer with Winch,
remove rear bottom guards (WP
0156) from machine to access
valve bank.
4. Disconnect chassis wiring har-
ness connector CH-C2 from auxil-
iary valve #1 port A solenoid (WP
5. Disconnect chassis wiring har-
ness connector CH-C3 from auxil-
iary valve #1 port B solenoid (WP
6. Connect chassis wiring harness
connector CH-C2 on auxiliary
7. Turn battery disconnect switch
and ignition switch to ON position
(TM 5-2410-240-10).
8. Check for active code 3188-04 in
Code 3188-04 Remains Active - Pro-
machine control D6K ECM (WP
ceed to Test Step 2.
Code 3188-04 Becomes Inactive -
Disconnect chassis wiring harness
connector CH-C2 from auxiliary valve
Replace auxiliary valve #1 port A sole-
noid: with Ripper (WP 0196) or with
Winch (WP 0197).
Proceed to step 9.
Code 3188-04 Active - Repeat trou-
machine control D6K ECM and
bleshooting code from the beginning.
verify 3188-04 is not active.
Code 3188-04 Not Active - Trouble-
shooting complete.
