DO NOT perform fuel system checks, inspections, or maintenance while smoking or near
fire, flames, or sparks. Fuel may ignite, causing damage to equipment and injury or death
to personnel.
Allow engine to cool off before performing maintenance on fuel filter. Hot metal parts can
cause severe burns. Wear eye, hand, and skin protection when working with heated parts.
Failure to follow this warning may cause injury to personnel
Wear fuel-resistant gloves and eye protection when handling fuels. If exposed to fuel,
promptly wash exposed skin and change fuel-soaked clothing.
Failure to follow this warning may result in injury or death to personnel

Wipe area clean around fuel filter. Contamination of fuel system could result in premature
failure.

Tag and plug lines to aid installation.
1. Remove bolt (Figure 1, Item 1) and clamp (Figure 1, Item 2) from bracket (Figure 1, Item 3).
2. Disconnect hose (Figure 1, Item 6) from base (Figure 1, Item 9). Position hose aside.
3. Remove tiedown strap (Figure 1, Item 7) and ether line (Figure 1, Item 8) from tube (Figure 1, Item 4).
4. Remove nut (Figure 1, Item 5) and bolt (Figure 1, Item 13) from bracket (Figure 1, Item 3).
5. Position tube (Figure 1, Item 4) aside.
6. Loosen tube nut (Figure 1, Item 11) and disconnect line (Figure 1, Item 12) from base (Figure 1, Item 9).
7. Remove two bolts (Figure 1, Item 10) and remove base (Figure 1, Item 9) from machine.
