1. If hood was replaced, install two grabhandles (Figure 5, Item 4) on hood (Figure 5, Item 1) with four bolts
(Figure 5, Item 2) and washers (Figure 5, Item 3).
2. Install lifting device on hood (Figure 5, Item 1).
WARN I N G
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure that any lifting equipment used is in good condition
and of suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported by lifting equipment.
Failure to follow this warning may result in injury or death to personnel.
N OT E
Hood support weighs approximately 87 lb (40 kg).
3. Using lifting device and with assistance, install hood (Figure 5, Item 1) on machine.
4. Install five washers (Figure 5, Item 6), bolts (Figure 5, Item 5), and two nuts (Figure 5, Item 7) on hood (Figure
5, Item 1) on machine.
5. Open left engine access door (Figure 5, Item 10).
6. Install 11 washers (Figure 5, Item 8) and nuts (Figure 5, Item 9) on hood (Figure 5, Item 1) on machine.
7. Remove lifting device from hood (Figure 5, Item 1).
