INSTALLATION

1. Install new gasket (Figure 3, Item 4), adapter (Figure 3, Item 5), and two bolts (Figure 3, Item 6) on oil pan
(Figure 3, Item 2).
2. Install two pipe plugs (Figure 3, Item 3) on oil pan (Figure 3, Item 2).
3. Install two washers (Figure 3, Item 8) and plugs (Figure 3, Item 7) on oil pan (Figure 3, Item 2).
4. Install new O-ring (Figure 3, Item 9) on oil pickup tube (Figure 3, Item 12).
5. Install oil pickup tube (Figure 3, Item 12), two spacers (Figure 3, Item 13), washers (Figure 3, Item 14), and
bolts (Figure 3, Item 15) on engine.
6. Align oil pickup tube (Figure 3, Item 12) and install two washers (Figure 3, Item 10) and bolts (Figure 3, Item
11) on machine.
WARN I N G
Use caution when using adhesives and sealants. Prolonged inhalation of vapors can
cause lung irritation. Contact with skin can cause dermatitis. Wear gloves and safety
goggles and use product in a well-ventilated area away from open flame. If ingested, keep
individual calm and seek medical attention. DO NOT induce vomiting. If contact with skin
or eyes is made, flush thoroughly with water. Dispose of cleanup rags IAW local policy and
ordinances. Failure to follow this warning may cause injury to personnel.
7. Apply gasket (sealing compound) on sealing surface of oil pan, connecting joints of front plate, oil pan gasket,
cylinder block, and flywheel housing.
8. Install 14 sleeves (Figure 3, Item 19) and new gasket (Figure 3, Item 16) on oil pan (Figure 3, Item 2).
9. Install oil pan (Figure 3, Item 2) on machine.
10. Align gasket (Figure 3, Item 16), oil pan (Figure 3, Item 2) and install 13 isolators (Figure 3, Item 18), washers
(Figure 3, Item 17) and bolts (Figure 3, Item 1) on oil pan. Torque bolts to 41 lb-ft (55 Nm).
