If new belts are installed, check beltadjustment after 30 minutes of operation.
If equipped with arctic heater, install arctic belts.
1. Install two belts (Figure 3, Item 3) on machine.
2. While holding belts (Figure 3, Item 3) in position, move alternator (Figure 3, Item 8) outward and tighten nut
(Figure 3, Item 4) until correct belt tension is achieved.
3. Once correct belt tension is achieved, tighten nut (Figure 3, Item 6).
4. Tighten bolt (Figure 3, Item 7) and nut (Figure 3, Item 5) on alternator (Figure 3, Item 8).
5. Tighten bolt (Figure 3, Item 1) on shaft (Figure 3, Item 2).
6. Tighten two bolts (Figure 4, Item 2) on alternator (Figure 4, Item 1).

2. Install engine enclosure right door guard (WP 0204).
3. Verify correct operation of machine (TM 5-2410-241-10).
