Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure lifting device used is in good condition and of
suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure
to follow this warning may cause injury or death to personnel.
N OT E
Brake housing weighs approximately 440 lb (198 kg).
23. Install three bracket links (Figure 6, Item 3), bolts (Figure 6, Item 2), and lifting device on brake housing
(Figure 6, Item 1).
24. With assistance, remove two bolts (Figure 6, Item 5), washers (Figure 6, Item 6), and brake housing (Figure 6,
Item 1) from final drive housing (Figure 6, Item 4). Place brake housing on its side on flat level surface.
25. Remove lifting device, three bolts (Figure 6, Item 2), and bracket links (Figure 6, Item 3) from brake housing
(Figure 6, Item 1).
