Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure lifting device used is in good condition and of
suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure
to follow this warning may cause injury or death to personnel.
N OT E
Transmission weighs approximately 825 lb (375 kg).
27. Install jack stand under rear of transmission case (Figure 9, Item 1).
28. Remove lifting device from adapter (Figure 9, Item 5).
29. Remove six bolts (Figure 9, Item 4) and adapter (Figure 9, Item 5) from case (Figure 9, Item 1).
30. Install original plate and six bolts (Figure 9, Item 4) on case (Figure 9, Item 1).
31. Install two bracket links (Figure 9, Item 2) and bolts (Figure 9, Item 3) on transmission case (Figure 9, Item 1).
32. Attach lifting device on bracket links (Figure 9, Item 2).
33. Using lifting device, remove transmission case (Figure 9, Item 1) from machine. Place transmission case on
flat level surface.
