Lubricating/hydraulic oils used in performance of maintenance can be very slippery.
Immediately wipe up any spills. Failure to follow this warning may result in injury to
personnel.
1. Install new O-ring (Figure 1, Item 8) on drain plug (Figure 1, Item 7).
2. Install drain plug (Figure 1, Item 7) on winch (Figure 1, Item 9).
N OT E
Gear case oil capacity is 16 qt (15 L).
3. Fill winch (Figure 1, Item 9) with oil through fill plug (Figure 1, Item 5) opening until oil is sighted at the bottom
of check plug (Figure 1, Item 1) opening. Refer to LO 5-2410-241-13 for correct type and amount of lubricant.
4. Install new O-ring (Figure 1, Item 2) on checkplug (Figure 1, Item 1) and install plug on winch (Figure 1,
Item 9).
5. Install new O-ring (Figure 1, Item 6) on fill plug (Figure 1, Item 5) and install plug on winch (Figure 1, Item 9).
6. Install new O-ring (Figure 1, Item 4) on breather plug (Figure 1, Item 3) and install breather on winch (Figure 1,
Item 9).
