1. Attach bracket link and suitable lifting device on ripper shank (Figure 1, Item 1).
WARN I N G
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure lifting device used is in good condition and of
suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure
to follow this warning may cause injury or death to personnel.
N OT E
Ripper shank weighs approximately 325 lb (147 kg).
2. With assistance, install ripper shank (Figure 1, Item 1) in ripper carriage (Figure 1, Item 2) from the top.
3. Install pin (Figure 1, Item 3), two retainers (Figure 1, Item 4), and new cotter pins (Figure 1, Item 5) on ripper
shank (Figure 1, Item 1).
4. Remove lifting device and bracket link from ripper shank (Figure 1, Item 1).

2. Verify correct operation of machine (TM 5-2410-241-10).
