1. Place fuel pressure line (Figure 1, Item 2) from metering pump (Figure 1, Item 1) into 25 mL measuring
cylinder (Figure 1, Item 4).
2. Switch arctic heater (Figure 1, Item 3) ON (TM 5-2410-241-10) and wait until metering pump (Figure 1, Item 1)
starts pumping fuel.
3. Hold measuring cylinder (Figure 1, Item 4) at level of arctic heater (Figure 1, Item 3) for duration of test.
N OT E
Metering pump will automatically stop pumping fuel after 68 seconds.
4. Once metering pump (Figure 1, Item 1) stops pumping fuel, switch arctic heater (Figure 1, Item 3) OFF (TM 5-
2410-241-10).
5. Replace fuel metering pump (Figure 1, Item 1) (WP 0293) if fuel level in metering cylinder (Figure 1, Item 4) is:
a. above 8.25 mL or,
b. below 6.75 mL,
6. Once measurement is completed, reconnect fuel pressure line (Figure 1, Item 2) to arctic heater (Figure 1,
Item 3).
7. Return to Arctic Kit Troubleshooting.
