DO NOT perform fuel system checks, inspecions, or maintenance while smoking or near

fire, flames, or sparks. Fuel may ignite, causing damage to equipment and injury or death
to personnel.
Allow engine to cool off before performing maintenance on fuel filter. Hot metal parts can
cause severe burns. Wear eye, hand, and skin protection when working with heated parts.
Wear fuel-resistant gloves and eye protecton when handling fuels. If exposed to fuel,
i
promptly wash exposed skin and change fuel-soaked clothing.
Failure to follow these warnings may result in injury or death to personnel or damage to
equipment.
1. Turn arctic fuel shutoff valve (Figure 1, Item 11) to OFF position.

Cap and plug hose to prevent contamination and leaks or damage to equipment may
occur.
N OT E
Note position and orientation of fittings.
2. Loosen clamp (Figure 1, Item 4) from fuel hose (Figure 1, Item 5).
3. Remove fuel hose (Figure 1, Item 5) from nipple (Figure 1, Item 6).
4. Remove clamp (Figure 1, Item 4) from fuel hose (Figure 1, Item 5).
5. Remove nipple (Figure 1, Item 6) from fitting (Figure 1, Item 7).
6. Remove fitting (Figure 1, Item 7) from elbow (Figure 1, Item 8).
7. Loosen tube nut (Figure 1, Item 9) and remove elbow (Figure 1, Item 8) from shutoff valve (Figure 1, Item 11).
8. Remove O-ring (Figure 1, Item 10) from elbow (Figure 1, Item 8). Discard O-ring.
9. Loosen tube nut (Figure 1, Item 12) and remove shutoff valve (Figure 1, Item 11) from elbow (Figure 1,
Item 14).
10. Remove O-ring (Figure 1, Item 13) from shutoff valve (Figure 1, Item 11). Discard O-ring.
11. Loosen tube nut (Figure 1, Item 1) and remove elbow (Figure 1, Item 14) from T fitting (Figure 1, Item 3).
12. Remove O-ring (Figure 1, Item 2) from elbow (Figure 1, Item 14). Discard O-ring.
