GENERAL PMCS PROCEDURES
0011
1. Intervals (on-condition or hardtime) and the related manhour times are based on normal operation. The
manhour time specified is the time you need to do all the services prescribed for a particular interval. Change
the hardtime interval if your lubricants are contaminated or if you are operating the equipment under adverse
operating conditions, including longer-than-usual operating hours. The hardtime interval may be extended
during periods of low activity. If extended, adequate preservation precautions must be taken.
WARN I N G
Solvent cleaning compound MIL-PRF-680 Type III is an environmentally compliant and
low-toxic material. However, it may be irritating to the eyes and skin. Use protective gloves
and goggles. Use in well-ventilated areas. Keep away from open flames and other
sources of ignition. When not using MIL-PRF-680 solvents, ensure MIL-PRF-680 solvent
container is sealed. Store, handle and dispose of unused and spent solvents in
accordance with local procedures and plans. Failure to follow this warning may cause
injury or death to personnel.
2. The lowest level of maintenance authorized to lubricate a point is indicated by one of the following symbol as
appropriate: Operator/Crew (C).
3. The time specified is the time required to perform all services at the particular interval (on-condition or hard-
time).
N OT E
When equipment is scheduled for PMCS other than daily services, you must also perform
all earlier PMCS services. For example, if you are performing the 1,000 hour interval, you
would also perform all steps included in the daily, 50 hour, 250 hour, and 500 hour
maintenance intervals.
