MACHINE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM CONTINUED
Batteries
0005
Four 12V batteries are located behind the right rear access cover. The batteries connect in series to produce 24V
for starting, charging, and operating the machine.
Arctic Kit Heater Batteries
0005
Two 12V batteries are located on the rear of the machine. The batteries connect in series with the four machine
batteries to power the arctic kit heater to assist in cold starting the machine.
Alternator
0005
The 95-amp alternator is an electro-mechanical component. The alternator charges the batteries during engine
operation. A serpentine belt drives the alternator. The serpentine belt runs from the crankshaft pulley to the
alternator pulley, then to the A/C compressor, the belt tensioner, and then back to the crankshaft pulley. An external
fan, which mounts behind the alternator pulley, cools the alternator.
