MONITORING SYSTEM CONTINUED
The messenger is an on-board monitoring system that displays machine operating information. It provides
information about diagnostics, machine operating characteristics, service intervals, modes of operation, warning
events, and lifetime totals. The messenger allows the operator to adjust machine settings in order to fit a particular
application. It also enables the operator to recall preferred settings and totals, and adjust machine settings. The
messenger communicates with the engine ECM and machine ECM by means of a data link and the CAN bus.
