Left and Right Side Hydrostatic Pumps Description
0007
The left side hydrostatic pump (Figure 3, Item 3) is a variable displacement piston pump. It is located beneath the
cab floor and mounts in-line with the engine flywheel. The pump's input shaft engages a coupling that is mounted
on the engine flywheel. This drives the tandem pumps when the engine is running. The left side hydrostatic pump
receives charge oil from the pump that supplies the demand fan. The left side hydrostatic pump assures that oil
pressure is available for propulsion, steering, and lubrication.
The right side hydrostatic pump (Figure 3, Item 2) is located beneath the cab floor. It bolts in-line to the rear of the
left side hydrostatic pump. The right side hydrostatic pump's input shaft engages an adapter mounted on the rear
of the left side hydrostatic pump. The right side hydrostatic pump has two sections. The first section contains the
variable displacement piston pump. The second section (Figure 3, Item 1) contains a gerotor (gear pump) that
provides charge oil and lubrication for the piston pump. The right side hydrostatic pump assures that oil pressure is
available for propulsion, steering, and lubrication.
