Speed Sensor #1 Abnormal
Always inspect the harness connectors that are involved in the circuit.
Frequency, Pulse Width, or
Poor connections can often be the cause of a problem in an electrical

circuit. Verify that all connections in the circuit are clean, secure and
that all connections are in good condition. If a problem with a connec-
tion is found, correct the problem and verify that this diagnostic code is
active before performing this procedure.
1. Operate machine forward and
reverse (TM 5-2410-240-10).
2. Do not turn ignition switch and
battery disconnect switch to OFF
position (TM 5-2410-240-10).
3. Connect MSD (WP 0016). Select
2685-08 Code Active - Proceed to
machine control ECM and check
step 4.
for diagnostic codes (WP 0013).
No Codes Active - The problem does
not exist at this time. Resume normal
operation.
4. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-2410-240-10)
5. Disconnect chassis harness left
track speed sensor connector
CH-C7 (WP 0018, Figure 86) from
left track speed sensor (WP
0127).
