2268-05 Winch Free-Spool
Always inspect harness connectors thatare involved in the circuit. Poor
mal
connections can often be the cause of an electrical circuit problem. Ver-
ify that all connections in circuit are clean and secure, and connections
are in good condition. If problem with connection is found, correct the
problem and verify diagnostic code is active before performing this pro-
cedure.
Perform open or short circuit test ateach harness connection to identify
correct harness to replace.
Tag wiring harnesses to aid installation.
Perform this test only if condition is active.
Test Step 1. Isolate Fault.
machine control D6K ECM and
verify 2268-05 is active.
2. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-2410-240-10).
3. Remove rear bottom guards from
machine (WP 0156).
4. Disconnect winch wiring harness
ing harness connector WC-C3
0137).
5. Connect jumper wire between
WC-C3 terminal 1 and terminal 2
6. Turn battery disconnect switch
and ignition switch to ON position
(TM 5-2410-240-10).
7. Check for active code 2268-05 or
Code 2268-05 Remains Active - Pro-
2268-06 in machine control D6K
ceed to Test Step 2.
Code 2268-05 Becomes Inactive
and 2268-06 Becomes Active - Pro-
ceed to Test Step 5.
