Pivot Shaft

Oil Level
Check
Oil should be warm to ensure it drains completely from
pivot shaft housing. Use caution to protect against burns
when draining oil.
Contact with oil can damage skin. Wear gloves when
handling engine oil. If oil contacts skin, wash it off imme-
diately.
Lubricating oil is very slippery. Immediately wipe up any
spills.
Failure to follow these warnings may cause injury or
death to personnel.
a. Park machine on level ground,

and clean area around pivot shaft.
b. Remove plug (Figure 2, Item 1)
from machine. Inspect O-ring on
plug for cuts, abrasions and
damage. Replace O-ring, if
damaged.
c. Fill pivot shaft with oil until oil
reaches bottom of threaded orifice.
d. Install plug (Figure 2, Item 1) on
machine. Tighten plug.
