4. Install two guide studs (Figure 3, Item 5) on engine (Figure 3, Item 3) through bolt holes (Figure 3, Item 4).
N OT E
Note length and position of bolts to aid installation.
5. Remove six remaining bolts (Figure 3, Item 2) retaining flywheel housing (Figure 3, Item 1) on engine
(Figure 3, Item 3).
WARN I N G
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure any lifting device used is in good condition and of
suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure
to follow this warning may cause injury or death to personnel.
N OT E
Flywheel housing weighs approximately 71 lb (32 kg).
6. Using lifting device and with assistance, remove flywheel housing (Figure 3, Item 1) from engine (Figure 3,
Item 3). Lower flywheel housing onto flat surface.
7. Remove lifting device from flywheel housing (Figure 3, Item 1).
