4. If not arctic kit heater equipped, remove ether bottle, ether valve, and retaining bracket (WP 0048).
5. If arctic kit heater equipped, remove arctic kit heater and bracket (WP 0278).
6. Install lifting device on hood support (Figure 2, Item 1).
N OT E
Mark position of bolts on hood support and position of hood support on brackets to aid
installation.
Do not remove bolts at this time.
7. Loosen six bolts (Figure 2, Item 3) and position two brackets (Figure 2, Item 2) aside.
8. Remove six bolts (Figure 2, Item 5) and washers (Figure 2, Item 4) retaining hood support (Figure 2, Item 1) on
brackets (Figure 2, Item 2).
9. Pivot hood support (Figure 2, Item 1) forward.
