1. Install two brackets (Figure 5, Item 3), six washers (Figure 5, Item 5), and bolts (Figure 5, Item 4) on machine,
but do not tighten bolts. Position two brackets (Figure 5, Item 3) aside.
2. Install seal (Figure 5, Item 2) on hood support (Figure 5, Item 1).
3. Install lifting device on hood support (Figure 5, Item 1).
WARN I N G
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure that any lifting equipment used is in good condition
and of suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported by lifting equipment.
Failure to follow this warning may result in injury or death to personnel.
N OT E
Hood support weighs approximately 87 lb (40 kg).
4. Using lifting device and with assistance, install hood support (Figure 5, Item 1) on brackets (Figure 5, Item 3).
5. Install six new tiedown straps (Figure 6, Item 1) on clips (Figure 6, Item 4), engine harness (Figure 6, Item 3),
and chassis harness (Figure 6, Item 2).
