Cylinders can remain pressurized for long periods, even with hydraulic hoses removed.
Relieve pressure before disassembling cylinder.
Lubricating/hydraulic oils used in perfomance of maintenance can be very slippery.

Immediately wipe up any spills.
Failure to follow these warnings may result in injury or death to personnel.
1. Loosen head (Figure 2, Item 11).
2. Remove rod (Figure 2, Item 13) and head (Figure 2, Item 11) from cylinder housing (Figure 2, Item 7).

Note position of piston to aid installation.
3. Remove locknut (Figure 2, Item 9), piston (Figure 2, Item 10), and head (Figure 2, Item 11) from rod (Figure 2,
Item 13). Discard locknut.

Note position and location of seals and rings to aid installation.
4. Remove wiper seal (Figure 2, Item 6), U-cup seal (Figure 2, Item 5), buffer seal (Figure 2, Item 4), wear ring
(Figure 2, Item 3), two O-ring seals (Figure 2, Items 15 and 17), and backup ring (Figure 2, Item 16) from head
(Figure 2, Item 11). Discard all seals and rings.
5. Remove seal (Figure 2, Item 2) and ring (Figure 2, Item 1) from piston (Figure 2, Item 10). Discard seal and
ring.
6. Remove retaining ring (Figure 2, Item 14) and bearing (Figure 2, Item 12) from rod (Figure 2, Item 13). Discard
retaining ring and bearing.
7. Remove retaining ring (Figure 2, Item 18) and bearing (Figure 2, Item 8) from cylinder housing (Figure 2,
Item 7). Discard retaining ring and bearing.
