WARN I N G
Lubricating/hydraulic oils used in performance of maintenance can be very slippery.
Immediately wipe up any spills. Failure to follow this warning may result in injury to
personnel.
1. Install sleeve (Figure 10, Item 8) on rod (Figure 10, Item 9).

Install seal as noted during removal.
2. Install new washer (Figure 10, Item 10), new seal (Figure 10, Item 11), and new wear ring (Figure 10, Item 12)
on piston (Figure 10, Item 13).
3. Apply hydraulic oil on lips of two new seals (Figure 10, Items 4 and 5).
4. Install two seals (Figure 10, Items 4 and 5), new O-ring (Figure 10, Item 1), new backup ring (Figure 10,
Item 2), and new wear ring (Figure 10, Item 3) on cylinder head (Figure 10, Item 7).

Use caution when using adhesives and sealants. Prolonged inhalation of vapors can
cause lung irritation. Contact with skin can cause dermatitis. Wear gloves and safety
goggles and use product in a well-ventilated area away from open flame. If ingested, keep
individual calm and seek medical attention. DO NOT induce vomiting. If contact with skin
or eyes is made, flush thoroughly with water. Dispose of cleanup rags IAW local policy and
ordinances. Failure to follow this warning may cause injury to personnel.

Install seal as noted during removal.
5. Apply sealing compound on seal bore and new seal (Figure 10, Item 6). Install new seal on cylinder head
(Figure 10, Item 7).

Install piston as noted during removal.
6. Apply hydraulic oil on threads of rod (Figure 10, Item 9).
7. Install cylinder head (Figure 10, Item 7), piston (Figure 10, Item 13), and new locknut (Figure 10, Item 14) on
rod (Figure 10, Item 9). Torque nut to 1,990 lb-ft (2,700 Nm).
