REMOVAL CONTINUED
WARN I N G
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure lifting device used is in good condition and of
suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure
to follow this warning may cause injury or death to personnel.
N OT E
Torque converter weighs approximately 320 lb (145 kg).
Note position of boltsto aid installation.
13. Attach bracket link, bolt (Figure 3, Item 2) and lifting device to torque converter (Figure 3, Item 12).
14. Using lifting device, remove ten bolts (Figure 3, Item 9), washers (Figure 3, Item 10), clamp (Figure 3, Item 8),
hose (Figure 3, Item 7) and torque converter (Figure 3, Item 12) from engine (Figure 3, Item 11).
15. Remove lifting device, bolt (Figure 3, Item 2) and bracket link from torque converter (Figure 3, Item 12).
16. Remove two O-rings (Figure 3, Item 20) from torque converter (Figure 3, Item 12). Discard O-rings.
