3. Install lifting device on flywheel housing (Figure 3, Item 6).
N OT E
Note size and position of bolts to aid installation.
4. Remove two bolts (Figure 3, Item 11) and washers (Figure 3, Item 12) retaining flywheel housing
(Figure 3, Item 6) on engine (Figure 3, Item 7).
5. Install two guide studs (Figure 3, Item 10) on engine (Figure 3, Item 7) through bolt holes (Figure 3, Item 1).
N OT E
Note size and position of bolts to aid installation.
6. Remove 11 remaining bolts (Figure 3, Items 11 and 9) and washers (Figure 3, Items 12 and 8) retaining
flywheel housing (Figure 3, Item 6) on engine (Figure 3, Item 7).
WARN I N G
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure any lifting device used is in good condition and of
suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure to
follow this warning may cause injury or death to personnel.
N OT E
Flywheel housing weighs approximately 210 lb (95 kg).
