TOWING WITH ENGINE STOPPED

Ensure recovery line is strong enough (has a rated capacity of 150% of gross weight of the
towed machine) and is in good condition.
Attach recovery line only to towing connection points provided on frame.
DO NOT have tension on the recovery line when inspecting it.
DO NOT jerk on recovey line; it may break.

Brakes on a D7R must have engine power and hydraulic pressure to disengage. If D7R
does not have engine power and hydraulic pressure and needs to be towed, both right
and left side axle shafts must be removed.
The following proced re will remove left side axle shaft. Follow the same steps for right
u
side axle shaft.
1. Remove three bolts (Figure 46, Item 3), washers (Figure 46, Item 4), cap (Figure 46, Item 2), and O-ring
(Figure 46, Item 5) from drive assembly (Figure 46, Item 1).
