0358-06 Implement Pilot
Pressure Supply Current
Always inspect harness connectors thatare involved in the circuit. Poor
Above Normal
connections can often be the cause of an electrical circuit problem. Ver-
ify that all connections in circuit are clean and secure, and connections
are in good condition. If a problem with a connection is found, correct
problem and verify diagnostic code is active before performing this pro-
cedure.
Perform open or short circuit test ateach harness connection to identify
correct harness to replace.
Tag wiring harnesses to aid installation.
Perform this test only if condition is active.
Test Step 1. Test for Shorted Imple-
ment Pilot Pressure Supply Sole-
noid.
1. Connect MSD (WP 0016). Select
machine control D6K ECM and
verify 0358-06 is active.
2. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-2410-240-10).
3. For D6K Dozer with Ripper,
remove rear plates (WP 0196)
from machine to access valve
bank. For D6K Dozer with Winch,
remove rear bottom guards (WP
0156) from machine to access
valve bank.
4. Disconnect chassis wiring har-
ness connector CH-C17 from
implement pilot pressure supply
solenoid: with Ripper (WP 0018,
Figure 90) or with Winch (WP
0018, Figure 261).
5. Turn battery disconnect switch
and ignition switch to ON position
(TM 5-2410-240-10).
Code 0358-06 Remains Active - Pro-
6. Check for active code 0358-05 or
ceed to Test Step 2.
0358-06 in machine control D6K
ECM (WP 0016).
Code 0358-06 Becomes Inactive
and 0358-05 Becomes Active -
Replace implement pilot pressure
supply solenoid: with Ripper (WP
0196); with Winch (WP 0197).
Proceed to step 7.
