HYDROSTATIC PUMP AND MOTOR EFFICIENCY TEST CONTINUED
5. Position steering and transmission control to FORWARD position and to Right position (TM 5-2410-240-10) for
left drive pump, and FORWARD position and to LEFT position (TM 5-2410-240-10) for right drive pump.
6. Monitor and record pressure readings at hydrostatic pump pressure tap on test panel. Increase ground speed
control wheel (TM 5-2410-240-10) until pressure achieves a minimum of 1,088 psi (7,500 kPa). Monitor and
record Hydrostatic Pump Forward Solenoid Current percentage.
7. Monitor and record pressure readings at hydrostatic pump pressure tap on test panel. Increase ground speed
control wheel (TM 5-2410-240-10) until pressure achieves a minimum of 5,076 psi (35,000 kPa). Monitor and
record Hydrostatic Pump Forward Solenoid Current percentage.
8. Return steering and transmission control to NEUTRAL position and return engine to idle.
9. Stop engine.
10. Subtract the Drive Pump Forward Solenoid Current percentage that was required to reach 1,088 psi
(7,500 kPa) from the Drive Pump Forward Solenoid Current percentage that was required to reach 5,076 psi
(35,000 kPa). This is the left side pump percent command and should be less than 20 percent. If value is
above 20 percent hydrostatic pump and/or hydrostatic motor does not meet efficiency requirements.
11. Repeat Test Steps 19 for second hydrostatic pump.
12. Select Service (Figure 8, Item 1) and Configuration (Figure 8, Item 2).
