Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure any lifting device used is in good condition and of
suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure
to follow this warning may cause injury or death to personnel.
C AU T I O N
Do not use pry bar to separate the cylinder head from the cylinder block. Do not damage
machined surfaces of cylinder head or cylinder block during removal.
N OT E
Cylinder head weighs approximately 145.5 lb (66 kg).
12. Attach lifting device on cylinder head (Figure 9, Item 1).
13. Remove cylinder head (Figure 9, Item 1) from cylinder block (Figure 9, Item 2).
14. Remove lifting device from cylinder head (Figure 9, Item 1).
