Clean and inspect all parts IAW Mechanical General Maintenance Instructions (WP 0282).

1. Install bearing (Figure 7, Item 2) and dowel (Figure 7, Item 1) on shaft (Figure 7, Item 8).
WARN I N G
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure any lifting device used is in good condition and of
suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure
to follow this warning may result in injury or death to personnel.
N OT E
Idler weighs approximately 320 lb (145 kg).
2. Attach lifting device to idler (Figure 7, Item 9). Using lifting device, install idler on shaft (Figure 7, Item 8).
Remove lifting device from idler.

Install O-rings as noted from removal.
3. Install O-ring (Figure 7, Item 7), toric ring (Figure 7, Item 6), O-ring (Figure 7, Item 5), O-ring (Figure 7, Item 4),
toric ring (Figure 7, Item 3), bearing (Figure 7, Item 2), and dowel (Figure 7, Item 1) on shaft (Figure 7, Item 8).
4. Fill idler assembly with 11.16 oz (330 ml) of oil, OE/HDO-30. Install plug (Figure 7, Item 10) on idler (Figure 7,
Item 9).
