Note location of tiedown strap, elbows, oil filter bypass switch, fittings, port, and pressure
tap to aid installation.
Note position and orientation of clip, elbows, and tee fitting to aid installation.
7. Remove tiedown strap (Figure 5, Item 3) and clip (Figure 5, Item 2) from oil filter bypass switch (Figure 5,
Item 1). Discard tiedown strap.
8. Loosen nut (Figure 5, Item 4) and remove elbow (Figure 5, Item 5) from filter base (Figure 5, Item 10).
9. Remove O-ring (Figure 5, Item 7) from elbow (Figure 5, Item 5). Discard O-ring.
10. Loosen nut (Figure 5, Item 9) and remove elbow (Figure 5, Item 6) from fitting (Figure 5, Item 8).
11. Remove fitting (Figure 5, Item 8) from filter base (Figure 5, Item 10).
12. Remove two O-rings (Figure 5, Item 7) from fitting (Figure 5, Item 8). Discard O-rings.
13. Remove oil filter bypass switch (Figure 5, Item 1) from filter base (Figure 5, Item 10).
14. Remove two O-rings (Figure 5, Item 7) from oil filter bypass switch (Figure 5, Item 1). Discard O-rings.
15. Loosen nut (Figure 5, Item 17) and remove tee fitting (Figure 5, Item 12) from elbow (Figure 5, Item 18).
16. Loosen nut (Figure 5, Item 11) and remove elbow (Figure 5, Item 18) from filter base (Figure 5, Item 10).
17. Remove two O-rings (Figure 5, Item 7) from elbow (Figure 5, Item 18). Discard O-rings.
18. Remove port (Figure 5, Item 13) from fitting (Figure 5, Item 14).
19. Remove O-ring (Figure 5, Item 7) from port (Figure 5, Item 13). Discard O-ring.
20. Remove fitting (Figure 5, Item 14) from tee fitting (Figure 5, Item 12).
21. Remove O-ring (Figure 5, Item 7) from fitting (Figure 5, Item 14). Discard O-ring.
