Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure any lifting device used is in good condition and of
suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure to
follow this warning may cause injury or death to personnel.
N OT E
Crankshaft damper weighs approximately 70 lb (32 kg).
1. Attach lifting device to crankshaft damper (Figure 3, Item 1).
2. Install adapter (Figure 3, Item 2), crankshaft damper (Figure 3, Item 1), six washers (Figure 3, Item 3), and
bolts (Figure 3, Item 4) on engine (Figure 3, Item 5).
3. Remove lifting device from crankshaft damper (Figure 3, Item 1).

1. Install cooling fan (WP 0050).
2. Install front bottom guard (WP 0199).
3. Install V-belt set (alternator) (WP 0098).
4. Install V-belt (A/C compressor) (WP 0096).
5. Verify correct operation of machine (TM 5-2410-241-10).
