6. Open right engine access door. Remove three bolts and cover from lower access cover.
7. Remove engine oil filter element (Figure 2, Item 2) from oil filter base (Figure 2, Item 1). Discard engine oil filter
element. Make sure all old filter seal is removed from filter base.
8. Apply a thin coat of oil to seal on new filter element. Install new engine oil filter element (Figure 2, Item 2) on oil
filter base (Figure 2, Item 1) by hand. When gasket contacts oil filter base, tighten filter element by an
additional 3/4 turn (270 degrees). Rotation index marks are on new filter element. These rotation index marks
are spaced at 90 degree intervals. Use these rotation index marks as a guide for proper tightening.
9. Install cover and three bolts on lower access cover. Close right engine access door.
