DO NOT service cooling system unless enginehas been allowed to cool down. This is a
pressurized cooling system and escaping steam or hot coolant will cause serious burns.
DO NOT remove cooling system radiator cap when engine is hot. Allow engine to cool
down. Loosen cap to first stop and let any pressure out of cooling system, then remove
cap. Failure to follow this warning may cause serious burns.
Wear effective eye, hand, and skin protection when handling coolants. Failure to do so
may cause injury to personnel.
The surge tank has a radiator filler cap and a sight glass (Figure 3, Item 1). It is not necessary to remove radiator
filler cap in order to check coolant level. The sight glass is inside the engine compartment on the front left side of
machine. The radiator filler cap is beneath the access door on the top left side of radiator guard.
