DRAIN AND FLUSHING PROCEDURE CONTINUED

Access panel (WP 0014) can be removed as an alternative to removing front bottom
guard for reaching coolant drain valves.
4. Remove front bottom guard (WP 0199).
5. Position coolant drain hose in suitable drain pan.
6. Open coolant drain valves (Figure 2, Item 1). Allow coolant to drain into a suitable drain pan.
7. Close coolant drain valves (Figure 2, Item 1).
8. Fill cooling system with clean water.
9. Start engine (TM 5-2410-241-10). Run engine for 90 minutes.
10. Stop engine (TM 5-2410-241-10). Open coolant drain valves and drain water into a suitable drain pan.
11. If contamination is present, flush system with water. Flush system until draining water is clear.
12. Close coolant drain valves (Figure 2, Item 1).
