TEST CONTINUED
WARN I N G
Dry nitrogen is the only gas approved for use in accumulator. Any other gas may cause
failure of accumulator or injury to personnel.
N OT E
Accumulator charge pressure should be 245-265 psi (1690-1827 kPa) when oil
temperature is 70F (20C).
7. Ensure valve handle on nitrogen chuck (Figure 5, Item 8) is closed.
8. Attach nitrogen chuck (Figure 5, Item 8) to valve (Figure 5, Item 5).
9. Ensure that needle valve (Figure 5, Item 7) is closed.
10. Open valve handle on nitrogen chuck (Figure 5, Item 8).
11. Check accumulator pressure on pressure gauge (Figure 5, Item 1). Accumulator charge pressure should be
245-265 psi (1690-1827 kPa) when oil temperature is 70F (20C).
12. If accumulator pressure is not within acceptable range, replace accumulator (Figure 5, Item 3).
13. Remove nitrogen chuck (Figure 5, Item 8) from valve (Figure 5, Item 5).
14. Install protective cap (Figure 5, Item 6) on valve (Figure 5, Item 5).
15. Install protective strap (Figure 5, Item 2) and two bolts (Figure 5, Item 4) on accumulator (Figure 5, Item 3).
