Always inspect harness connectors that are involved in circuit.
Poor connections can often be the cause of an electrical circuit
problem. Verify that all connections in circuit are clean and
secure, and connections are in good condition. If a problem with
a connection is found, correct the problem and verify diagnostic
code is active before performing this procedure.
Tag wiring harnesses to aid installation.
1. Perform Turbo Wastegate
Turbo Wastegate Solenoid Test
Solenoid Test (WP 0028).
Failed with Tested Device Cur-
rent High - Proceed to step 2.
2. Turn ignition switch to OFF
position (TM 5-2410-240-10).
3. Disconnect harness connec-
tor E-C15 (WP 0018,
Figure 114) from the turbo-
charger wastegate solenoid.
4. Perform Turbo Wastegate
Turbo Wastegate Solenoid Test
Solenoid Test (WP 0028).
Failed with Tested Device Cur-
rent Low - Solenoid faulty.
Replace turbocharger wastegate
solenoid (WP 0080). Verify proper
operation of machine (TM 5-2410-
240-10).
Turbo Wastegate Solenoid Test
Failed with Tested Device Cur-
rent High - Proceed to step 5.
5. Turn ignition switch and bat-
tery disconnect switch to OFF
position (TM 5-2410-240-10).
