Always inspect harness connectors thatare involved in the circuit. Poor
Above Normal
connections can often be the cause of an electrical circuit problem. Ver-
ify that all connections in circuit are clean and secure, and connections
are in good condition. If problem with connection is found, correct the
problem and verify diagnostic code is active before performing this pro-
cedure.
Perform open or short circuit test ateach harness connection to identify
correct harness to replace.
Tag wiring harnesses to aid installation.
Perform this test only if condition is active.
Test Step 1. Test for Shorted Auxil-
iary Valve #1 Port B Solenoid.
1. Connect MSD (WP 0016). Select
machine control D6K ECM and
verify 2211-06 is active.
2. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-2410-240-10).
3. For D6K Dozer with Ripper,
remove rear plates (WP 0196)
from machine to access valve
bank (WP 0196). For D6K Dozer
with Winch, remove rear bottom
guards (WP 0156) from machine
to access valve bank.
4. Disconnect chassis wiring har-
ness connector CH-C3 from auxil-
iary valve #1 port B solenoid (WP
0018, Figure 83).
5. Turn battery disconnect switch
and ignition switch to ON position
(TM 5-2410-240-10).
