CALIBRATION CONTINUED
Initiation currents for both motors should be equal to each other at approximately 33 percent. Calibration must be
made each time an adjustment of motor initiation set screw is made. Refer to motor control solenoid valve initiation
set screw adjustment in this work package.
Machine must be supported and tracks off ground to perform this test (WP 0281).
Operator Control Calibrations (Hystat)
00031
This calibration associates working range of sensors that are associated with following controls:
Forward and Reverse Joystick.
Left and Right Joystick.
Brake/Decel Pedal.
Power Train Speed Range Control Rocker.
END OF TASK
INITIAL PRESSURE TEST
00031
It is important to know initial pressure tests for the hydrostatic drive system before troubleshooting. The initial
pressure test procedure will allow the technician to evaluate the pressure settings of the parking brake, front
hydrostatic pump case drain, and charge oil pressure for the left (front), and right (rear) hydrostatic pumps.
Test
00031
1. Operate engine until hydraulic fluid reaches 120F (50C).
2. Park machine (TM 5-2410-240-10) and release hydraulic system pressure (WP 0162).
3. Use ET or the messenger to monitor engine speed and hydraulic oil temperature.
4. Connect pressure gauge to each of the test ports on the hystat test panel (Figure 31).
5. Start and run engine at 2,100 RPM, monitor and record pressure gauge for each port listed in Table 1.
