Before starting task, ensure that bolts holding spring carrier are in place and functional. If
bolts are nonfunctional or missing, spring must be cut to relieve tension and replaced.
Failure to follow this warning may result in death or serious injury to personnel.
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure any lifting device used is in good condition and of
suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure
to follow this warning may result in injury or death to personnel.
N OT E
Spring is compressed to 29,000 lb (131,541.8 kg).
Track adjuster weighs approximately 205 lb (93 kg).
Track carrier roller and bracket weighs approximately 120 lb (54 kg).
The following procedure is for the left track adjuster. Use the same procedure for the right
track adjuster.
