DO NOT disconnect or remove any hydraulic system hoses, tubes, or fittings unless
engine is shut down and hydraulic system pressure has been relieved. Tighten all
connections before applying pressure. Escaping hydraulic fluid under pressure can
penetrate skin.
At operating temperature, hydraulic oil is hot. Allow hydraulic oil to cool before removing
any hydraulic fitting.
To prevent injury to personnel, wear protective eye covering and gloves.
Lubricating/hydraulic oils used in performance of maintenance can be very slippery.
Immediately wipe up any spills. Failure to follow this warning may result in injury to
personnel.
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure.
Failure to follow these warnings may result in injury or death to personnel.
N OT E
Hydraulic filters are all removed using the same general method. Hydraulic filters are
serviced as a set. If one filter is to be replaced, replace all filters at the same time.

1. Position wiping rag under hydraulic system filters (Figure 1, Item 2) and remove two hydraulic system filters
from filter base (Figure 1, Item 1).
