Perform the following procedureto remove one tooth. Use the same procedure to remove
other teeth.
Note position of tip to aid installation.
1. Remove pin (Figure 1, Item 6) and tip (Figure 1, Item 7) from shank (Figure 1, Item 4). Discard pin.
N OT E
Note position of retainer to aid installation.
2. Remove retainer (Figure 1, Item 5) from shank (Figure 1, Item 4). Discard retainer.
WARN I N G
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Failure to follow this warning may cause injury or death to
personnel.
N OT E
Ripper shank weighs approximately 52 lb (24 kg).
3. With assistance, remove two cotter pins (Figure 1, Item 1), pin (Figure 1, Item 2), and shank (Figure 1, Item 8)
from ripper assembly (Figure 1, Item 3). Discard cotter pins.
