Test Step 2. Verify Machine Control
D6K ECM Is Programmed Correctly.
1. Verify machine control D6K ECM
Software Correct - Replace machine
is flashed with correct software
ECM: with Ripper (WP 0147); with
(WP 0017).
Winch (WP 0149).
Proceed to step 2.
Software Incorrect - Flash machine
ECM with correct software (WP
0017). Proceed to step 2.
2. Check for active code 1197-13 in
Code 1197-13 Active - Repeat trou-
machine control D6K ECM (WP
bleshooting code from the beginning.
0016).
Code 1197-13 Not Active - Trouble-
shooting complete.

1198-03 Blade Raise Sole-
noid Voltage Above Normal
Always inspect harness connectors thatare involved in the circuit. Poor
connections can often be the cause of an electrical circuit problem. Ver-
ify that all connections in circuit are clean and secure, and connections
are in good condition. If problem with connection is found, correct prob-
lem and verify diagnostic code is active before performing this proce-
dure.
Perform open or short circuit test ateach harness connection to identify
correct harness to replace.
Tag wiring harnesses to aid installation.
Perform this test only if condition is active.
Test Step 1. Test for Shorted Chas-
sis Wiring Harness.
1. Connect MSD (WP 0016). Select
machine control D6K ECM and
verify 1198-03 is active.
2. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to the OFF
position (TM 5-2410-240-10).
