Install right side debris guards on
machine (WP 0187).
Install front floor plate on machine
(WP 0205).
Install rear bottom guards on machine
(WP 0156).
Proceed to step 2.
2. Using MSD (WP 0016), select
Code 1885-05 Active - Repeat trou-
machine control D6K ECM and
bleshooting code from the beginning.
verify 1885-05 is not active.
Code 1885-05 Not Active - Trouble-
shooting complete.

Solenoid Current Above
Always inspect harness connectors thatare involved in the circuit. Poor
Normal
connections can often be the cause of an electrical circuit problem. Ver-
ify that all connections in circuit are clean and secure, and connections
are in good condition. If problem with connection is found, correct the
problem and verify diagnostic code is active before performing this pro-
cedure.
Perform open or short circuit test ateach harness connection to identify
correct harness to replace.
Tag wiring harnesses to aid installation.
Perform this test only if condition is active.
Test Step 1. Test for Shorted Reel-
Out Solenoid.
1. Connect MSD (WP 0016). Select
machine control D6K ECM and
verify 1885-06 is active.
2. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-2410-240-10).
3. Remove rear bottom guards from
machine (WP 0156).
