WARN I N G
Personal injury can result from hydraulic oil pressure and hot oil. Hydraulic oil pressure
can remain in hydraulic system after engine has been stopped. Serious injury can be
caused if this pressure is not released before any service is done on hydraulic system.
Make sure all work tools have been lowered toground, and oil is cool before removing any
components or lines. Remove oil filler cap only when engine is stopped. Filler cap must be
cool enough to touch with your bare hand.
Sudden movement of machine or release of oil under pressure can cause injury to
persons on or near machine.
Failure to follow these warnings ma result in injury to personnel.

Care must be taken to ensure fluids are contained during performance of inspection,
maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of product. Be prepared to collect fluid with
suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component
containing fluids. Dispose of all fluids IAW local regulations and mandates.
Preparation of Machine for Fan Speed Calibration

1. Park machine (TM 5-2410-240-10).
2. Install ET, select machine ECM, and verify there are no active diagnostic codes. If there is an active diagnostic
code, calibration procedure will be stopped until condition that caused diagnostic code is corrected.

Fan has reflective tape installed from manufacturer. Install new tape if missing or painted
over.
3. Open radiator grill (TM 5-2410-240-10) and attach reflective tape (Figure 6, Item 1) on one fan blade (Figure 6,
Item 2).

To ensure proper testing of cooling system, doors for engine enclosure should be closed
while test procedures are conducted.
4. Ensure implement controls are locked out (TM 5-2410-240-10).
